John B. Williams is Vice President and co-founder the Employee Benefits Group, Inc. (EBG). John graduated from the American University with a BA in Economics in 1989.

Business Development:
John began his benefits consulting career in 1987 with Prudential Financial Services. He co-founded The Employee Benefits Group, Inc. (EBG) in 1987 with Dan Glusica. Since the company’s founding EBG has grown steadily to now serve over 160 corporate and non-profit clients. EBG has taken its place as one of the leading employee benefits brokerage and consulting companies in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area as evidenced by achieving a ranking in the top 20 of the Washington Business Journal Book of Lists for Employee Benefits Brokerage firms for the last 3 years.

Investment Experience & Education:
John has been working with clients in the retirement plan arena now for over 10 years. John’s areas of specialization include retirement plan design, fiduciary best practices, and investment oversight and monitoring.

John currently is holds FINRA (formerly NASD) Series 6 & 63 licenses, and is licensed to sell Life, Health, and Long Term Care. John is a Registered Representative with Lara, May & Associates, LLC, a Washington DC area based independent broker/dealer and SEC registered investment advisor (Member FINRA/SIPC) with over $500,000,000 in client assets.

Areas of Expertise:
John’s areas of expertise encompass the design, implementation, and administration of defined contribution retirement plans as well as employee health and welfare programs. John’s has a particular focus is in Business Process Management including the use of technology to improve organizational efficiency and cost reduction.

John currently resides in Bethesda, MD with his wife and 5 children. John is actively involved in the non-profit community serving on the Planning Committee for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. John also coaches basketball and soccer in his spare time.
